Earnings are there for stats and information purposes, they show your total earnings, including non-cash prizes that you win while surfing or in lottery.
For example, if you win Premium membership, it's price ($4.59) will be counted into your total earnings. If you win $1 on Purchase balance, $1 will be counted into your total earnings.
